About Me

<p>My name is Maarten Hoppen and I have been a full time Agile Coach since 2008. My background is development and management.</p><p>I am an&nbsp; Accredited Kanban Trainer at the Lean Kanban University and a&nbsp;Professional Scrum Trainer at&nbsp;<a href="http://scrum.org/" style="color: purple;">Scrum.org</a>.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>I work with individuals, teams and organizations to adopt Agile and Lean thinking in their work, communication and collaboration. My goal is to improve productivity, create a pleasant workplace and unleash intrinsic motivation.&nbsp;</p><p>The last years I see a shift of focus towards management consulting and optimizing the organization as a whole. For organizational impediments the key to the solution lies in the hands of management. That is why I also certified as an Evidence Based Management (EBMgt) Consultant. I help organizations and teams to define metrics to measure true value. We need these measurements to see if we are improving. These measurements should be value neutral and not easy to be gamed.</p><p>Although I am member of&nbsp;<a href="http://scrum.org/" style="color: purple;">Scrum.org</a>&nbsp;and LKU I don't have a preferred method or framework. My opinion is that the framework must never become a goal on itself but is a tool to achieve a goal.
