Kanban for knowledge work is an alternate path to agility that enables teams to visualize and effectively manage their work, and do so sustainably even in the context of constant changes in work and priority.  Kanban relieves individuals from overburdening and enables a focus on the work resulting in improved quality and customer satisfaction.  Other benefits include: collaboration, trust, and empathy.

Curriculum

  • Sustainability agenda of Kanban
  • Kanban principles and practices
  • Basic Kanban concepts including the Kanban board and its elements, limiting work in progress, and their benefits
  • Visualizing risk
  • Proto-Kanban patterns and their benefits
  • Conducting Kanban stand-up and replenishment meetings
  • Limitations of team-level Kanban, understanding full Kanban systems, service-orientation, what more can be done with Kanban for customer satisfaction and business performance.

 

The class is taught with interactive exercises, games and simulations.

This training class is certified by Lean Kanban University (LKU) as Introductory Kanban level training.  Participants receive standard LKU certificates of class completion.
