Manage and Scale Kanban Systems

In the Kanban System Design course, you learned how to create a single Kanban system. The next step is mastering how to scale across multiple interconnected systems. In the Kanban Systems Improvement course, you'll explore managing and optimizing these systems using metrics and the principles of evolutionary change.

Every workflow system faces delays, variability, and bottlenecks. This course will teach you how to identify these issues early and apply strategies to enhance and streamline work flow.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand evolutionary change and how it reduces resistance.
  • Use Kanban cadences for feedback loops that foster growth and sustainability.
  • Manage dependencies across multiple Kanban systems.
  • Utilize fundamental Kanban metrics for informed decision-making.
  • Balance demand and capacity, improve flow, and manage variability.

Certification:

Successful completion grants a standard certificate and the Kanban Management Professional (KMP) credential (if the KSD course is also completed), with a KMP badge displayed on the Kanban University website.

Prerequisites:

Familiarity with the books "Kanban" by David J. Anderson or "Kanban from the Inside" by Mike Burrows is expected.

Format: I

ncludes a combination of presentations, simulations, and exercises. Only Approved Kanban Trainers (AKTs) can teach this course.
