Overview

Take the Kanban Method to the next level! Regardless of type of industry or the size of your organization, you'll learn how to tackle real-world problems using the Kanban Method's approach to managing change. Through hands-on labs and structured discussion, you'll learn how more about Kanban as an evolutionary change mechanism, as well as how to identify and eliminate bottlenecks, build effective feedback loops, improve capacity, and better address demand.

Over the course of two days, you'll learn:

  • The basics of evolutionary change and why it's considered the "humane approach" to change, and why it's effective at dealing with resistance to change.
  • The Kanban cadences that can catalyze feedback, in order to continue to grow, evolve, and improve your Kanban system for continuous improvement and sustainable customer satisfaction.
  • How Kanban functions at scale and how to better manage dependencies across teams and other Kanban Systems.
  • Fundamental metrics for measuring performance in a Kanban system, and how to use them to make informed decisions.
  • Ways to better balance demand and capacity, including techniques for managing variability, improving flow, and shaping demand.

We'll be using http://miro.com"; rel="nofollow">Miro for real-time labs, exercises and interactive content. (A Miro account is not required, but highly suggested. Please arrive with some amount of familiarity.)

We'll also be using http://zoom.us"; rel="nofollow">Zoom for the class (please have it installed and configured prior to class). Please Note: We will be using webcams throughout the class. If you do not have a web camera, please send an email to admin@domorekanban.com.
